Azarenok characterized Zelensky as "a Britain-aligned figure". We scrutinized his claims

On January 13, 2025, the new Prime Minister of the United Kingdom, Keir Starmer, visited Kyiv for the first time.

From the first days in office, Volodymyr Zelensky relied on London and, shortly after his election, made it his priority to visit there, claimed Grigoriy Azarenok during his "Azarenok.Directly" program. The Weekly Top Fake team examined Volodymyr Zelensky's travel itinerary in spring and summer 2019 and determined his post-election destinations.

On January 13, 2025, the new Prime Minister of the United Kingdom, Keir Starmer, visited Kyiv for the first time. On January 13, during the "Azarenok.Directly" livestream, Grigoriy Azarenok reacted to the announcement of the visit and discussed Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky's dependence on London.

"Zelya (a derogatory nickname for Volodymyr Zelensky — translator's note) also went to visit Moore right after his election. If Poroshenko was considered a half-British, half-American, half-independent half-oligarch — but at least there was no war during his presidency, as many would say — Zelensky, on the other hand, is completely aligned with Britain, with his own ego and his own ambitions. So he went straight to the UK after the election," stated Azarenok.

Volodymyr Zelensky first visited the United Kingdom in the autumn of 2020. During the visit, he met with the head of British intelligence MI-6, Richard Moore to discuss the media and misinformation. This occurred more than a year after the election of the Ukrainian president.

His first official visit in office was to Brussels to meet the EU officials, after which Zelensky visited France, Germany, Canada, Turkey, Poland, and many other countries. Prior to the UK, he made over 20 foreign visits.
